Ummm... Hi?
You may have noticed my title is a tad... weird. Thank my fiancé for that. It's pretty awkward for me to do introductions, which I am sure others feel the same. I'm not sure when that started honestly, but here I am, an awkward potato. I've always liked people and have been told many times I should have been a counselor, but I prefer the artistic and freeing side of life. From an early age, I've always shown an interest in any kind of art, from singing to wood burning to crocheting. As long as I was creating something, I was a pretty happy person. My main focus at that time however was volcanoes, and I had decided I was going to be a volcanologist at the age of four. When I got older and into higher education my focus shifted to music and drawing because I moved away from the Pacific Northwest to the tornado-ridden state of Oklahoma. After I graduated high school I received a scholarship for choir, but my family had fallen on hard times and I declined the scholarship in favor of working to take care of the bills.
Now, many years later, I am back in Oregon enjoying the cool weather and rain. I worked for a few years in various fields until I landed in caregiving. Then, my aforementioned fiancé had to leave his job and we decided to start our own business right as the world was struck by the Covid pandemic. I enrolled in Principles of Marketing because I feel this class has things I need to know to help with our business, as well as to complete my graphic design degree. I am most interested in learning how to make advertising unique to our company and how to use those skills to help others achieve the same thing.
Outside of college I enjoy crocheting, playing video games, reading, and have recently taken an interest in gardening. I am growing my collection of books and recently purchased the entire Harry Potter series and I am working on collecting another series I started reading a few years ago. I'm also planning on purchasing some seeds to start my spring garden.
Now that you all know about me I look forward to reading about all of you! High-ho Silver AWAAAAYY!!
